Learning at Loreto

At Loreto College, we focus on creating a learning culture that is innovative, sustainable, and future-focused.

Through the provision of rigorous and meaningful learning experiences, we are following in the footsteps of our founder, Mother Gonzaga Barry, who believed that students should have a broad and liberal education. We echo our founder today through her advice to students to ’do your very best and avail yourself of every opportunity.’

Learning experiences are framed by the Victorian Curriculum in the early secondary years and complemented by an array of partnerships in our community that enrich student learning. Our Senior Students are offered a variety of subjects within the Victorian Certificate of Education, as well as opportunities to study VET subjects and University units.

We cater for a broad range of students, who have different strengths, talents and aspirations. Students are supported in their learning by our expert teachers, and through our Learning Diversity Team, if required. We have many enrichment and extension opportunities to complement our classroom learning programs which are school-based, and others that are externally governed.
