At Loreto College, we are proud of our rich heritage inspired by the values of Mary Ward, whose vision of justice, sincerity, freedom, verity and felicity continues to guide us today. Our College began 150 years ago when Mother Gonzaga Barry opened the doors for girls’ education in Ballarat, and we are proud to follow in her footsteps each day. Our dedicated staff work in partnership with families to nurture each student’s unique gifts, encouraging them to think critically, act justly, and contribute meaningfully to society.

We offer a holistic education that balances academic achievement with spiritual growth, co-curricular engagement, and social responsibility.
