All-Inclusive Tuition Fee

We acknowledge the investment that our parents make in their child’s educational experience and we are committed to making sure our fees provide value while reflecting the quality educational product that families expect at Loreto.

Our annual tuition fee incorporates all foreseeable costs associated with the school program into one fee. It includes camps and retreats at all year levels as well as most excursions. This means that there are no additional costs or levies for materials in subjects like Art and Food Technology or for using sporting venues in Physical Education classes.

Tuition fees are payable annually, with fee statements issued in January. Families can choose to pay fees in full or enter into a payment plan.

Families have two options for paying School Fees. All families must have one of these options completed by 28 February 2026.

Option 1: Pay in Full

Families may choose to pay the full year’s tuition fees in one lump sum by 31 January 2026.

A 3.25% discount on total fees applies if payment is received in full by this date.

Option 2: Payment Plan Arrangement

Families who are not paying in full are required to set up a payment plan arrangement through the College’s TASS system (or via the TASS Parent Orbit App).

Payment plan arrangements must commence in February and be completed by November each school year.

Once families select their preferred instalment frequency and start date, the TASS system will automatically calculate the instalment amounts based on total fees and the chosen frequency. Plans will be automatically adjusted throughout the year to include any additional fees or charges; families will be notified when these changes occur. Payment plans must also align with required milestones: 25% of fees paid by the end of Term 1, 50% by Term 2, 75% by Term 3, and 100% by 30 November.

Further instructions regarding both payment options including how to make payments and how to set up a payment plan arrangement are provided here.

We offer sibling discounts for families with two or more students attending Loreto at the same time. Sibling discounts are automatically applied to fee statements as follows:

  • Oldest child – no discount
  • 2nd sibling – discount of 7.5% on tuition fees
  • 3rd and any subsequent siblings – discount of 25% on tuition fees

Families who receive the $400 State Government’s Camps, Sports and Excursion Fund (CSEF) will receive an additional $400 discount per eligible student on their tuition fees from Loreto College.

We encourage all families to review their eligibility for this CSEF program. A CSEF application form is provided here. Applications close at the end of Term 2 each year. Further information on the CSEF program including eligibility is available here.

CSEF funding will be paid to the College and will be allocated towards camps, sports, and excursion expenses. Both funding from the State Government along with discounts provided by Loreto College will be automatically deducted from your school fee account once eligibility is confirmed.

Information Communication Technology (ICT) Levy

The annual ICT Levy of $700 per student supports the College’s ongoing investment in technology, including the provision of a high-quality digital device (laptop) for every student, as well as the hardware, software and infrastructure needed to support learning.

Each student is provided with a digital device throughout their time at the College. Students will receive:

  • A new device in Year 7, supporting their transition into secondary learning.
  • A new device at the commencement of Year 10, issued once the student’s existing device has been returned, ensuring access to up-to-date technology for senior studies.

All digital devices issued to students remain the property of the College at all times. This allows the College to maintain, manage and support devices consistently across the school.

Students exiting the College before completing Year 12 must return their College-owned device when they leave. Students who complete Year 12 may keep their device at no cost, with ownership transferred to them at the conclusion of their schooling.

Maintenance Levy

The maintenance levy of $650.00 per family supports the ongoing maintenance of our infrastructure.

Additional extra-curricular fees including rowing, music and VET fees plus other school charges including laptop repairs are required to be settled by the end of each term.

Optional trips and excursions including domestic and overseas trips are required to be paid by the required date of each trip or excursion.

Rowing Fees

Rowing fees will be communicated to families on acceptance in the rowing program. Rowing fees are charged in two instalments in Term 4 and Term 1.

Music Fee

Sessional teachers charge on a basis of $43.50 per half-hour lesson.

Vocational Education and Training (VET)

Students electing to undertake a VET program will be invoiced for material costs and 50% of the tuition fees for any external VET course undertaken, Loreto College covers the remaining 50% of the tuition fees. Families will be communicated the costs for each course at the time of enrolment.

Printing Allowance

Students will be allocated a $15.00 printing allowance per semester, with printing charged at 5 cents per page for black and white and 30 cents per page for colour. If students exceed this allowance, they can purchase additional printing allowance at the College canteen. To support our environmental sustainability goals, students are encouraged to print only when necessary and to consider digital alternatives wherever possible.

The application fee is $150.00 per child (non-refundable). This fee is to offset the administrative costs associated with the enrolment process.

Following an offer of a place at the College, a non-refundable acceptance fee of $400.00 must be paid to accept the offer. This fee includes life membership to the Loreto College Ballarat Past Pupils Association.

Fee accounts and statements and any ongoing communication regarding fees or payments will be sent to both parents/guardians listed in the enrolment application unless otherwise advised in writing.

Amendments to the nominated fee payer as well as any fee-paying arrangements, including splitting fees, can only be made with the written agreement of Loreto College.

School fees will be charged as an annual figure with statements being provided monthly.

To support families in paying the College Fees, we do provide weekly payment plans with an option to extend payment plans over a longer period to keep payments as manageable as possible.

Families may make additional payments towards future College fees. This may result in some fees being paid in advance. In cases of discontinued enrolment, any unused portion of fees paid will be credited back to families in line with our terms and conditions.

Parents and Guardians may at times due to unforeseen circumstances experience financial hardship that leaves them unable to fulfill the financial obligations of enrolment. Any Parents or Guardians experiencing financial hardship are encouraged to contact the Finance Office via accounts@loreto.vic.edu.au so we can discuss supportive arrangements including pauses on payment plans, extended plans and/or application for concessions.

When determining alternative arrangements, we endeavour to work collaboratively with families considering individual circumstances and ensuring that any agreements are reasonable for both parties.

The College is committed to working respectfully and collaboratively with families to support them in meeting their financial obligations. Where fees are behind, we will make multiple attempts to engage with families, encourage communication, and offer opportunities to discuss payment plans or alternative arrangements.

If families do not respond to these attempts, decline to enter into a payment arrangement, or repeatedly fail to meet agreed commitments, the account may be referred to our external debt collection partner. Once this occurs, additional recovery costs are incurred and will be passed on to families.

Where an account has been transferred to debt collection, families will be required to meet with the Principal to discuss continued enrolment. Where this occurs, The College may reduce the education offerings for your enrolled student(s), including restrictions on involvement in extracurricular and other school activities, or see enrolment discontinued.

Our preference is always to partner with families with early and open communication the best way to avoid escalation. If you are experiencing difficulties, please contact the Finance Office as soon as possible so we can work together on a suitable solution.

Parents are requested to provide one terms written notice of their intention to withdraw a student from the school. If required notice is not given, one full term tuition will be payable in lieu.

With the approval of the Principal, students at times may elect to participate in secondments and exchange programs at other schools or education institutions. A fee may be payable to retain the student(s) place at the College for the duration of their absence.

The conveyance allowance is a form of financial assistance for parents/guardians to transport children to and from school in rural and regional Victoria. Allowances are available for public transport, private car and private bus where students are unable to access free school buses.

Students may be eligible for a conveyance allowance when they:

  • Attend their closest government or appropriate non-government school/campus located outside the metropolitan conveyance boundary.
  • Reside 4.8km or more from that school/campus attended.

An application form is provided here, alternatively, contact the College Finance Office to obtain a copy of the form.
