At Loreto, we recognise and nurture each student’s leadership potential.

We offer a range of opportunities for students to develop their leadership qualities and skills, through both formal and informal opportunities.

Student Portfolio Representative System

This formal system enables students in Years 7 to 12 to actively engage in areas they are passionate about. Each portfolio is led by a Year 12 Captain and supported by a team of representatives from Years 7 to 11. Portfolios run for one semester and cover a wide range of interests:

  • Creative Arts
  • Felicity*
  • First Nations
  • House (Barry, Mornane, Mulhall, Ward)
  • Liturgy
  • Social Justice
  • Sport
  • Sustainability

*The Felicity portfolio embodies the spirit of Loreto, encouraging students to explore their potential and discover their authentic selves by embracing opportunities for active participation in academic and co-curricular activities, both in and outside school.

Active involvement in College life

We believe that leadership is not only shaped through formal opportunities, but also through informal learning experiences. We encourage all students to fully engage in College life, whether by contributing to their Year Level or House Committee, leading a School tour or a co-curricular group, volunteering in or out of school, etc.

This allows students to build their leadership skills while contributing to the vibrant, supportive community at Loreto.
