We welcome enrolments from families considering a Loreto education for their child.

Loreto values diversity and recognises that each applicant brings unique qualities and talents that will contribute to enriching our school community.

We accept applications for Year 7 entry from Grade 3, with applications closing in February the year before entry. For Years 8 to 12, applications are accepted throughout the year, but offers depend on availability. If no places are available, applicants will remain on our waitlist.

Join us for our Year 7 2027 Prospective Families Evening to gain a deeper understanding of life at Loreto College Ballarat and our vision for the future of learning. This event is designed for prospective students and their parents or carers, and will provide insights into key areas such as wellbeing, faith and mission, curriculum, and our Year 7 program.

Loreto College Ballarat’s policy documents inform our enrolment process and decisions. Offers made to applicants are not necessarily dependent on all conditions being met.

Frequently Asked Questions

Year 7 entry

We accept applications for Year 7 entry from Grade 3. Applications close in February of the year prior to entry. 

Years 8 to 12 entry

Entry at Years 8 to 12 is subject to a place becoming available. Applications are accepted at any time during the year, however interviews will only take place if there are places available. If no places are available, applicants remain on our waitlist.

We accept enrolments from domestic applicants* only. We do not accept enrolments from international students.

A domestic applicant* is a child who is an:

  • Australian citizen, or
  • Australian permanent resident, or
  • Australian temporary resident.

Parent/s and carer/s of domestic applicants are encouraged to apply online.

Whether you join us at our Open Morning or take one of our regular guided tours, we strongly encourage families to explore the school in person before applications close. Seeing our vibrant community, welcoming environment, and facilities firsthand will give you a true sense of Loreto.

Following the application closing date for Year 7 entry, families will be contacted by the College to set up a time for an interview. The student and their parent/s or carer/s are expected to attend the interview which will be conducted by a member of the Loreto College Leadership team.

Following the application and interview process, successful Year 7 applicants will receive an official Offer of Enrolment from Loreto College Ballarat before Term 2 in the year prior to starting.
