Each generation stands on the shoulders of former generations.  We at Loreto College value the spirit of giving which has created the College community and the facilities of which we are the current stewards.  We recognise that we now have the responsibility for building upon the legacy gifted to us. 

Loreto College has been supported and strengthened by the contribution of all who have gone before us, from the first day that Mother Mary Gonzaga Barry IBVM and her courageous and dedicated team of Loreto Sisters arrived in Ballarat 132 years ago.  The Loreto Sisters who founded and developed Loreto College contributed their wholehearted service and leadership. We also acknowledge the contribution of the past staff, students, and parents to the development of our school.

It is a very exciting period to be a member of the Loreto College community. 

Support for the School comes from many sources including gifts, volunteering, time, talent and through philanthropic donations.  The School is fortunate to have enthusiastic and energetic volunteers contributing through the School Council and its Committees; the Parents' and Friends’ Association and other parent support groups and through the Loreto College Past Pupils' Association.
